There are so many memories that come to mind when I recall my career here at HSU. There are the infamous 120's that we've run more times than I can count. There's the never ending 2-a-days in 100+ degree weather. There's waiting in the airport terminals across the nation (and beyond). But if you were to ask me about HSU soccer, I'd tell you the story of each season, and what it took to be the best.

I'd tell you of my excitement as a freshmen in a quadruple sudden death overtime game for the ASC title. A game that started at 8:30 and went into penalty kicks at midnight. I'd tell you what it was like to dog pile on the field with my teammates, and smile so big my cheeks hurt.

I'd tell you about my junior year and of the 40 degree, rainy weekend where we played in mud up to our ankles. We played with a fire burning deep within; we shut out the other teams in both the semi and the final.

I'd tell you of my senior year. Of how all season long I knew my career would be coming to an end. I savored every moment I put on my uniform, but I did not forget that we had a job to do. I'd tell you how scary it was to be back in the ASC final, back in double overtime, back in penalty kicks. I'd tell you how good it felt to achieve all of our goals.

We're not lucky here at HSU. We work extremely hard for every ounce of success. The amount of dedication it takes to be a college athlete is unreal. Our rings are not free- they're paid for in blood, sweat, tears, and occasionally broken bones. I've put my body through more pain and stress than should be allowed, but I'd do it all again, never giving it a second thought.

I have met some very wonderful people here. The faculty and staff are more supportive than even some of the students! They congratulate you on your victories, and occasionally see your bus off for road games. I have expanded my immediate family as well - I have twenty sisters and twenty sets of parents, each of whom I hug every time I see them. I couldn't have asked for a better environment to play soccer in. Not only did I get the opportunity to play for a wonderful school, I also received personal time and attention from the HSU family.

HSU soccer has been a part of my identity for the last four years, and how after graduating, I find it a bit hard to let go. I still talk to Woody about next year's team. Although I won't be on the field, a part of me will always be with those girls. I have grown more as an individual (both on and off the field) than I could have thought possible. I have sacrificed so much of myself for the success of the team, and in return, I have accomplished goals that were once unreachable to me. But all of my accomplishments are that much sweeter, because I had an entire team to share them with.

No matter where I end up, HSU soccer will always be in my blood. The pain was only temporary, but the victories (and the memories) will last a lifetime.
