| October 25, 2008
Abilene, TX - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team moved its American Southwest Conference unbeaten streak to 105 games with a 7-0 win over Howard Payne, Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Cowgirls wasted no time getting its two senior attackers on the score board. Senior Morgan Loyd scored on a perfect chip pass from Sarah Stansell just 3:57 into the game. Cassie Sandifer scored just 1:03 later on a penalty kick.
HSU's other senior is Kelly Watson who had the job of limiting HPU star forward Takenda Cotton. She did well allowing Cotton only three shots in the game.
Mickey Rogers, Allison Ray, Lindsay Cogbrun, Erin Low and Stephanie Baker all added goals for the Cowgirls.
HSU is now 11-3-3 overall and 10-0-1 in ASC action. Howard Payne fell to 9-8 overall and 7-5 in league play.
