Abilene, Tx - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team pushed its American Southwest Conference unbeaten streak to 88 straight games with a 2-1 win over UT Tyler, Saturday afternoon at the HSU Soccer Complex.

Junior forward Morgan Loyd staked the Cowgirls to a 2-0 lead with a pair of first half goals. She scored off the post at the 8:30 mark. She later scored on a deflection at the 18:55 mark.

HSU outshot the Patriots 8-1 in the first half. In the second half, UTT took the advantage on shots 5-3. The Patriots scored at the 83:15 mark on a penalty kick.

The Cowgirls are now 9-1 on the year and 6-0 in ASC play. UT Tyler fell to 4-3-2 overall and 3-1-2 in ASC action.
