Abilene, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' 11th-ranked women's soccer team received a goal in the 42nd minute from Mindi Zamora to beat Division II Angelo State, 1-0, at the HSU Soccer Complex, Tuesday afternoon.

The Cowgirls had several chances early in the game but could not find the net, but Zamora scored on a great assist from midfielder Jessica Flobeck. The goal was the 10th of the season for Zamora.

The Cowgirl defense was solid allowing just four shots on goal and 11 shots in the game. Junior goalkeeper was up to the task saving four shots for the Cowgirls. HSU had six corners to none in the game and outshot the Rambelles 21-11.

Hardin-Simmons improved to 14-1-0 on the year and extended its winning streak to 12 in a row. Angelo State fell to 5-10-1 on the year. HSU returns to action on Friday when it hosts Louisiana College at 3 p.m.
