AUSTIN, TEXAS - Hardin-Simmons' women's team scored early and often in a 7-0 win over Concordia. Kelsey Jensen scored off a corner in the 14th minute and the Cowgirls received goals from Mindi Zamora and Laura Newbrough before halftime to make it 3-0.

Marissa Wichkoski, Zamora, Jacky Cox and Cathy Patty each scored second-half goals for the Cowgirls. Patty's goal was her first since returning from ACL surgery last year. Her goals was her 34th of her career and moves her to third all-time on the HSU goal-scoring list.

Four of the Cowgirls goals came off of corner kicks. HSU had 19 corners in the game.

Ashley Jackson had a shutout in goal in her first career start for the Cowgirls. Morgan Loyd and Kala Chalman each had a pair of goals for the Cowgirls.

HSU moved to 4-1-0 on the year and 1-0 in ASC play. Concordia-Austin fell to 2-2-0 and 0-1-0 in ASC play.

HSU plays at Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday.
