| Loyd Propels Cowgirls To Victory |

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team moved to 3-1 on the season with a 2-0 win over Southwestern, Tuesday evening in Georgetown.
The Cowgirls got on the board in the 28th minute when freshman Morgan Loyd found the back of the net for the first time in her career. The goal was unassisted.
Loyd was also in on the second goal when she feed Mindi Zamora for a goal in the 51st minute.
The Cowgirls outshot Southwestern 13-2 in the game. April Johnson recorded the shutout, even though she did not see a shot on goal.
HSU opens conference play on Friday at Concordia-Austin at 4 p.m. in Austin.
