| Cowgirls Fall in Overtime |

ABILENE, TEXAS - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team fell to Trinity, 1-0, when Margot Tarrillion scored on a rebound off a corner kick in the third minute of overtime Friday evening at Shelton Stadium.
The loss snapped a 53-game home unbeaten streak for the Cowgirls in their final game at Shelton Stadium. HSU will open its new facility on Sept. 23.
The Cowgirls had a couple of chances to score early in the game, the best coming when a Stephanie Patterson headed a corner kick off the post. Kelly Watson a defender for the Cowgirls stopped a Trinity shot in the second half, when keeper April Johnson had come out on a shot.
The game featured two of the top teams in the nation and it is the third straight time games between the two have ended 1-0. HSU came in ranked No. 5 and Trinity was No. 9.
HSU plays at Southwestern on Tuesday. The Cowgirls are 2-1 on the year and the Tigers improved to 2-0.
